Thank you for putting this course together - it is by far the best I've ever been through.

I was so impressed with the organization of the course. It was well thought out and I felt the order of the chapters worked exceptionally well.

I did something really scary today.

I bought a course on practical accessibility by the brilliant Sara Soueidan.

Why scary, you may ask?

Sara is a developer, and this course focuses mainly on development. I am not a developer, nor will I ever be.

Why did I choose this course, then?

So many reasons. Here’s a list:

1️⃣ Sara’s sale page (link below) does an excellent job of explaining who the course is for. She specifies that, in case you’re a designer who knows a decent bit of HTML and CSS, this course is indeed for you. I am one of those, luckily (and you don’t need to be able to code in JavaScript, also very luckily).

2️⃣ I love to stretch myself and get out of my comfortable design zone. Yes: I am a sucker for a bit of suffering.

3️⃣ As a designer, this course will arm me with the confidence I need when speaking with developers about a project. I’ll consolidate existing knowledge, and gain a myriad of new insights.

4️⃣ Accessibility is at the top of the legislative agenda at the moment. Don’t want to scare you right now, but nobody can put it off much longer.

5️⃣ I have known Sara's reputation for a long time. She’s at the top of her game and I trust her implicitly.

6️⃣ I know how long she’s been working on this course: I have been on the waiting list from the very beginning. With all this preparation, I am certain it will be comprehensive.

7️⃣ Sara’s perspective is unlike the ones we usually hear and learn from. I know the implicit approach will be one of compassionate empathy.

8️⃣ Sara is an independent voice, so she’s immune from corporate bias. These are the people I want to support.

9️⃣ Last and by no means least: Sara has kept the price affordable, something to be very grateful for.

I've only just bought the course this morning, so all I’ve done is log into the main course page – and I’m already blown away by the brilliant UX. I am itching to get started – looking forward to digging in this afternoon!
